Terms of Service, Refund Policy & Privacy Notice
Last Updated: 3rd August 2026
Sifar Data is operated by Muhammad Abdul Moeed, an individual trading as "Sifar Data" ("Sifar Data", "we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using our tools and services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Sifar Data provides browser-based data tools, including free utilities (such as the CSV Viewer and Splitter) and a paid "Pro" subscription that unlocks the Sifar Data Analyst and unlimited access. Some features require you to create an account.
2. Subscriptions, Billing & Payments
Our paid plans are sold and billed through Paddle. Paddle.com Market Ltd acts as the merchant of record and authorized reseller for all purchases, which means Paddle (not Sifar Data) handles the transaction, processes your payment, and is responsible for tax compliance. A charge from our configured billing descriptor will appear on your statement.
- One-time pass: A one-time pass grants immediate, time-limited access to paid features and is a one-time charge.
- Subscriptions: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in your account settings accesible via your profile; your access continues until the end of the current paid period, after which it will not renew.
- Price changes: We may change our prices from time to time. Any change will apply to your next billing period, not the current one.
3. Refund Policy
We want you to be satisfied with the Service. Our refund terms are as follows:
- Monthly subscription: If you are unhappy with a first-time monthly subscription purchase, you may request a full refund within 7 days of that purchase. After this 7-day period the purchase is non-refundable. Renewal charges are not eligible for this refund, as you can cancel at any time before a renewal date to avoid being billed for the next period.
- Annual subscription: If you are unhappy with a first-time annual subscription purchase, you may request a full refund within 14 days of that purchase. After this 14-day period the purchase is non-refundable. Renewal charges are not eligible for this refund, as you can cancel at any time before a renewal date to avoid being billed for the next period.
- One-time passes: Because a one-time pass grants instant access to a digital service, it is non-refundable once access has been used. If you purchased a one-time pass and have not yet used it, contact us and we will refund it.
- How to request a refund: Email us at hello@sifardata.com with the email address used at checkout. Alternatively, you can apply for refund within the Account settings in your profile. Refunds are issued through Paddle to your original payment method.
Nothing in this policy limits any statutory refund or cancellation rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
4. Privacy Notice
4.1 What stays on your device
- Free CSV tools (Viewer, Splitter, CSV to Excel): Your file contents are processed entirely locally within your web browser. All computation happens on your computer. We do not upload, store, or view your file contents, and the original files on your device are never modified.
- Sifar Data Analyst: Your file is never uploaded. It is read directly from your device and queried in your browser, and the file contents as a whole never reach our servers or any third party.
4.2 What we collect, and what reaches the AI
We want to be precise here, because "your file stays local" is true but is not the whole picture. When you use the Analyst, the following is sent to our servers and on to our AI provider:
- File structure: column names, data types, row counts, and up to 3 example rows from the file.
- Query result summaries: each time the AI runs a query on your machine, it is shown a summary of the result — the number of rows matched, up to 3 example rows from that result, and per-column summary figures (minimum, maximum and average for numeric columns; the most frequent value and its count for text columns; null counts). These are computed on your device across all matching rows. They describe your data rather than reproduce it, but the example rows and most-frequent values are drawn from your real data. If an individual cell would itself be sensitive, treat it as leaving your device.
- Conversations: your chat messages and the AI's responses, including the SQL it writes, are stored on our servers so your chat history persists.
- Account & billing data: your email address and basic account details. Payment details such as your card number are collected and processed directly by Paddle and are never stored on our servers; we receive only what is needed to manage your subscription, such as plan status and renewal date.
- Usage and diagnostics: standard server logs, error traces, and product analytics events (such as pages viewed and features used). We do not send your file contents to analytics.
4.3 Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal information. We rely on a small number of third-party service providers, each of which processes data on our behalf and under contract. By category, these are:
- Authentication providers — account creation and sign-in. Receive your email address and authentication data.
- Payment processing — Paddle.com Market Ltd acts as merchant of record for all purchases and receives your billing and payment details directly.
- AI model hosting providers — run the model that answers your questions. Receive your chat messages and the file structure and query summaries described in 4.2.
- Error monitoring and application performance providers — help us find and fix faults. Receive diagnostic traces, which can include chat message content.
- Product analytics providers — tell us which features are used. Receive usage events tied to an account identifier, not your email or your file contents.
- Google — advertising measurement (Google Ads conversion tracking and Google Analytics), and web fonts. See 4.4.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — serve the website and run the application. Process traffic and server logs, including IP addresses.
We will name the specific provider in any category on request — email hello@sifardata.com. We may change providers within a category as the Service evolves.
4.4 Cookies and advertising
We use two kinds of cookies and similar storage.
- Strictly necessary: set by our authentication provider to keep you signed in, and by Paddle to run checkout. The Service cannot work without these.
- Analytics and advertising: Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking, a first-party cookie recording the ad click that brought you to us (so we can tell which advertising works), and our product analytics provider.
We advertise through Google Ads. When you arrive from an ad and later create an account or purchase, we report that conversion to Google so we can measure our advertising. This uses Google's cookies and, at the moment a conversion occurs, a securely hashed version of your email address to help Google match the conversion to your Google account. Google uses this data in accordance with its own policies for partner sites.
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we do not load Google Analytics, Google Ads tracking or product analytics at all, and we set no analytics or advertising cookies. Only the strictly necessary cookies above are used. This is applied automatically based on the country your connection appears to originate from — you do not need to opt out, and there is nothing to consent to.
4.5 Your choices and how to opt out
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The strictly necessary ones are required to sign in and to pay; the rest can be blocked with no loss of functionality.
- Opt out of Google Ads personalisation at adssettings.google.com, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Send a browser "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal, which we honour as an opt-out of analytics and advertising where it is technically detectable.
- Email hello@sifardata.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. Deleting your account removes your conversations, file metadata and account record.
4.6 Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell personal information for money. However, under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, and under similar laws in other US states, the use of advertising cookies to measure and target advertising can count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information. We therefore offer you the right to opt out.
To opt out, do any of the following: block cookies for this site in your browser; enable Global Privacy Control in a browser or extension that supports it; or email hello@sifardata.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share" from the address associated with your account. We will action email requests within 15 business days and will not discriminate against you for exercising this right.
California residents also have the right to know what personal information we hold, to request its deletion or correction, and to designate an authorised agent to act for them. Use the same address to make any of these requests.
4.7 If you are in the EEA or the UK
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our lawful bases are: performance of a contract for creating your account, running the Service and processing your order; legitimate interests for security, fraud prevention and keeping the Service running; and legal obligation for tax and accounting records. We do not rely on consent, because we do not run analytics or advertising for visitors in these regions (see 4.4).
You have the right to access, correct, delete, export or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact hello@sifardata.com; we respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your national data protection authority. Some of our providers are based outside the EEA and the UK; transfers rely on those providers' Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
4.8 Retention
We keep your account record and conversations for as long as your account exists. Delete your account, or email us, and they are removed. Billing records are retained by Paddle for as long as tax and accounting law requires, independently of your account with us. Advertising and analytics identifiers expire within 90 days of your last visit unless refreshed.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties ("As-Is")
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Service. You use it entirely at your own risk.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sifar Data shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. This includes, but is not limited to, data loss, corrupted outputs, lost profits, or business interruption arising out of the use or inability to use the Service. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of any generated splits, data views, or analysis before using them for critical purposes.
7. Service Availability & Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, throttle, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. Where a change materially affects a paid feature you are actively subscribed to, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date above reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Contact
If you have any questions about these terms, refunds, or how your data is handled, please contact at hello@sifardata.com.
